Orthophoto

  • Orthophoto is a photo with geographic information,such as coordinate, orientation and size, with which people can measure the distance and area on the image. Traditional image resources or maps are composed of dots, lines and symbols. The information communicated thereof is very difficult to comprehend for those without professional training. But photos are colorful, visual and identifiable data, and when overlapped with topographicmaps with the same coordinate system, can present all geographic information of an area clearly.

  • With excellent design, md4 series UAV system can takeoff and land vertically in a circular area with a radius of 2.5m. There are many cameras for aerial photography, such as APS frame mirrorless digital camera, full frame mirrorless digital camera and full frame DSLR camera etc,and medium frame professional camera in future as well. The system can takephotos at a low flight height in all kinds of terrain environment. Since the relative height is low (200~400m), HD aerial photos can be acquired with ease (groundoriginal resolution<125px)

  • With corresponding software, orthophoto can be produced quickly. To process 400 photos, from auto matching to aerotriangulation calculation and orthomosaic etc, it only takes 60min(depending on hardware configuration), and then a HD orthophoto (ground resolution<125px) is automatically completed. Due to the precise GPS position of md4 series UAV system, even though there is no control points laid,the accuracy of orthophoto is still satisfying.
